When We Gather
Caleigh, Kate & Becky

Creative Clay Play Session

When We Gather was born from a deep knowing that women — especially mummas — are meant to be supported by one another as we navigate the cyclical nature of our lives. We thrive when we have a resourced community of women around us.

For two years, here on the Sunshine Coast, the ‘mountain mummas’ Caleigh, Kate & Becky have been weaving intentional, mother-centric offerings for women to gather, remember and reconnect.

Spaces to create, dance, sing, laugh, play, cry, rage, share, be heard, witnessed and held.

They believe there is an ancient and essential magic that arises when women come together — something vital to our health, our nervous systems, our lineage, our culture and how we are feeding that back into the world we are creating.

The women of When We Gather are so excited to offer this Creative Clay Play Session for our sisters at Wombankind, and feel deeply honoured to co-create with the festival and with you all.

Wombankind acknowledges First Nations Peoples and their continuing connections to Land, Sea, Water and Sky Country.

We acknowledge Bundjalung Country from which we operate, and Kombumerri Country on which we gather.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians and descendants of Kombumerri Country, the Kombumerri people.

We acknowledge Country, her living spirit and intrinsic connection to her people. We respect and honour her,

and give thanks to the original caretakers of this place.
