Nerissa

Braiding Sisterhood & Cycling Wisdom

Nerissa is a gifted psychic and  the visionary behind Womankind - the community, the movement and the festival. Her work is not surface-level or performative - it is deep, embodied, intuitive and alive.

Every offering she creates is designed to bring women back into remembrance of themselves. Her courses are channeled transmissions that move women through identity, shadow, lineage, embodiment and feminine authority. She is known for her no-bullshit approach - inspiring women to explore womanhood as a living craft and the re-establishment of magic - not as fantasy, but as birthright.

At the heart of her work is connection. To self. To sisterhood. To the unseen.

Nerissa’s mission is simple: to bring women back in touch with the wild feminine - to rebuild a culture where women remember their power, their magic and their belonging.

Braiding Sisterhood

There is something ancient about the act of one woman tending to another woman’s hair.
Maybe you remember sitting between the legs of your mother, grandmother, aunt or sister while she braided your hair. Maybe you have memories of doing it with friends. Maybe you are the one who braids your daughter’s hair now. Or maybe you have never experienced it at all.

Women tending to women is not new. We have gathered, adorned, brushed, braided, held and cared for one another since the beginning of time. And yet somewhere along the way, in this current reality, we stopped having the time, the space — or even the village — to do it.

Braiding Sisterhood is a coming home to that.
A playful, intimate space where you will sit with another woman and take turns braiding and being braided, choosing beautiful hair accessories and adornments as you go.
Because there is something that happens when another woman places your hair in her hands with full presence. When she isn't rushing. When she isn't trying to get anywhere. When her only job in that moment is to tend to you.
And when we do that with intention, something seemingly simple becomes ritual.
It becomes trust. It becomes reverence. It becomes receiving. It becomes remembering.

A chance to offer another woman the tenderness you so naturally give to those you love — and then allow yourself to receive it back.
To braid and be braided. To tend and be tended to. To remember what women have always done for one another.

Cycling Wisdom

This workshop is an introduction to Cycling Wisdom, Nerissa’s newest course launching in 2027 — an exploration of the cycles within cycles that are constantly moving through us, around us and between us.

Cycling Wisdom explores the seasonal cycles of the Earth, the menstrual cycle, our emotional cycles and the cycles of the moon - and the ways they mirror and speak to one another. It is about building awareness of these rhythms and learning to use them as a guide — deepening our relationship with ourselves, our bodies and ultimately the way we understand and relate to others.

We will explore the menstrual cycle as a living map that mirrors the seasons of the Earth. Your bleed is winter. Your follicular phase is spring. Ovulation is summer. Your luteal phase is autumn. And when you begin to understand these phases, you begin to understand why you feel the way you feel, what you need, and what each season is trying to reveal to you.

We’ll explore how death and birth are not opposites, but reflections of one another — two sides of the same internal doorway. Menstruation is your death point: the release, the shedding, the letting go. Ovulation is your birth point: the expansion, the expression, the full bloom. One cannot exist without the other. Both are portals. Both are powerful. And both live inside your body every single month.

Together, we’ll begin mapping these cycles and noticing where they overlap — the moon above us, the seasons around us, the menstrual and emotional rhythms within us. You’ll learn how greater awareness of these cycles can become a practical support for knowing when to move, when to create, when to express, when to turn inward, when to release and when to rest.

This is not about forcing ourselves into another system or getting our cycles “right”. It is about remembering that we were never meant to be the same every day.

Cycling Wisdom is an invitation to recognise the cycles within cycles - and to begin building a deeper relationship with yourself by learning how to actually listen to them.
